10 Years of nothing
Having a discussion at work and we are trying to name 3 things that Sullivan & Gold & Brady have done for the club over the last 10 years where it’s made a difference or made the club better.

To be honest I can’t name one.

The one I can think of is their openness to selling the club. I’m not even being sarcastic. Gold0 means we’ll but it’ll be a relief when they go.

I can only think of one. And that was coming and sorting the financial mess we were in. Once that was sorted I do struggle to see any positives. They think they are football people when what they are just businessmen playing in the football world.

The fact that their legacy is being the only football club in the world to move to a worse stadium. Owning the club during one of the darkest and most toxic periods in our history and currently fighting off relegation is all the proof you need.

I hear this a lot, but how many owners are football people anyway? Not defending them, just saying.

Re: 10 Years of nothing
It’s worth remembering where we were ten years ago in the PL and noting where our peer group of teams are now in comparison.

Nine teams from that time are not presently in the PL and indeed three of them have slipped to CL1.

The owners took us down and immediately back up, thus restoring the status quo, but over the ten years we have roughly broken even with. The only difference to me is that circa 20k people can now actually spectate compared to ten years ago.

It’s not so much the progression or lack of it. It’s the manner they have done it. False promises to get us away from UP and the lies.

Still
Being in the prem league is a minor Miri me with what’s happened over the last 10 years. Is that their achievement? I don’t think so it’s luck. Their management is embarrassing we basically have two majority share holders with the same agenda of raping the club.

I think its the fact they believe they are football people (especially Sullivan) meaning he tries to get involved in football matters and transfers where no other owner would interfere

Re: 10 Years of nothing
No other owner would interfere? Bit of a sweeping statement that which you won't obviously be able to back up, but I take your point. Shame though that Pellegrini didn't listen to Sullivan and only offer Wilshere 1 year, who knew more about football with that one?

There really isn't anything that I can think of.
On the subject of football people as owners, Eggert Magnussen was a football person, though I don't know if he really owned any of the club.
There was talk of Frank Lowy, the owner of Westfield, buying us. He's done a lot for football and would have been a great owner,

10yrs of nothing?

David Sullivan was worth approximately £500m when he purchased us wasnt he?

Sunday times rich list of 2019 have him at about £1.15b.

It's been a ROARING success

1 stopped us going into administration
2 ruined a few Muslim businesses down Green Street
3 Dug out and pissed off Hearn and Levy who are the reason we don't own the Bowl

Re: 10 Years of nothing
We are undoubtedly in a far better position than when they bought us - but very limited results on the pitch. We should be knocking on the door of the top six but instead we seem to be middle table one year, flirting with relegation the next.
